The Man….Err….Woman Behind the Mask! o_O

(oh yes… i am a nerd!)

I’m a freelance web developer based in Central Alberta, Canada with a collective 10+ years of web and graphic design experience. I’ve been creating websites since the glory days of geocities and angelfire, when tables and frames were too skool for kool!; nowadays you’ll find me grumbling and shaking my fist at them (true! ask anyone!). I attended college and was certified in Multimedia & Web Development.  This allowed me the opportunity to be involved in many different areas of the design field, I have done everything from graphic design to print design (I have 3+ years of experience in that specifically) to web design & development.  However after all was said and done design wasn’t something that fully piqued my interest so back to web developing I went.

I found my niche and decided to specialize in valid and semantic HTML, CSS and most recently WordPress sites.  I keep up to date on all the latest technologies such as HTML5/CSS3 and I am currently diving headfirst into WordPress plug-in and theme development. Yes, even after spending hours a day coding for my clients, I still enjoy hunkering down in my bat cave and coding away on my own projects (A real nerd eh? That’s right, I do say eh!).

I have way too many hobbies to list them all but some are reading (you’ll often find me with my nose stuck in a book; I absolutely love new book smell), drawing, video games and everything related to the web! If you look you can probably find me lurking around the web.

About This Site

I own and operate designFox.co alternatively known as designFox Media Works.  Currently, this site is a portfolio showcase & hopefully a helpful resource for aspiring web design & developers.

This site was both designed and developed by me, however I’m pretty busy right now, so launching the new, fully featured, highly anticipated designfox.co site is a work in progress! I didn’t want to leave everyone in the lurch, and hope you don’t mind the dust and temporary white walls (White Walls is the name of the basic theme I created, currently being used) as I hammer away.

I am a firm believer in helping those that want to learn, in fact one of my motto’s is “Educate Not Enable”,  so feel free to learn from, analyze, and/or use the techniques you find on this site (everyone has to start somewhere right?). So for those of you that are wondering about the inner workings behind the scenes of this site here you go (I try not to leave unnecessary markup in the code itself):
